Secon Year Tasks Associated with “Efficiency Upgrade, System Maintenance, and Promotion of the Envir

The tasks in the contract this year for achieving the goal of service system enhancement and strengthening include the maintenance of the system operation and connection quality, the enhancement of system functions, the upgrading system database by Executive Yuan’s requirement, the adjustment of Digital Citizen Certificate login program by Ministry of the Interior, statistical data of year 2012 analysis, and the system adjustment and organization for Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) being incorporated into Ministry of Environment and Resources in the future. On the maintenance of the system operation and connection quality, the project controls the system operation quality through regular monitoring on hardware monitoring data. Additionally, regular information security checking is operated in response to Department of Environmental Monitoring & Information Management. For more details, please refer to chapter 2. On the strengthening of system functions, 65 requirements provided by users are completed this year. Users can have better using services than the existed system functions. In addition, other tasks actively provided for service improvement include the revision for system beauty, the upgrading of system database, the adjustment of Digital Citizen Certificate login program, the revision of noise audit disciplinary forms, the establishment of the site for environmental specialized members and technicians, and the adjustment and organization for the EPA being incorporated into Ministry of Environment and Resources in the future. On the task of information connection, the connection with controlled pollutant system and the connection with Kaohsiung city reporting system are completed this year. Additionally, in response to the system being connected in the past, new connection fields are added, such as environmental education conference system and Public Nuisance Dispute Processing Procedures system. On the tasks for users’ guidelines, the quantity of customer service phone calls is 3,529 from January to October, 6 education training courses are completed, and 4 education training courses are organized for the assistance of environmental protection bureaus in cities/counties by assigning lecturers on site. Above all, two main parts, strengthening functions and adding services, are included in the tasks this year. For making it better, the system should not only be stable, but also be more completed. By adding more services to the existed system, the system can be more close to a user’s requirement whereby more users can be willing to use the system. It is believed that by the enhancement of system functions and the provision of added services, this project will not just be system maintenance tasks, but become an application tool for business supporting and policy settings. Finally, the ultimate goal of the system is for providing better services at three main aspects, including information establishing, printing, and application, to reach the benefits on system development and project conduction.
